It is our policy on the Board of Andrews Survey that the company shall properly implement, in the spirit as well as in the letter, all relevant statutory requirements which relate to accident prevention so as to provide a safe place of work and safe and healthy working conditions for all our employees and others affected by our operations. Our aim is to meet the duties required in Section 2(1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974) by committing the necessary resources and by involving all the employees. The co-operation of all personnel is vital to the success of this policy. The Company is committed to: • The provision and maintenance of a working environment for employees that is safe, without risk to health and adequate as regards facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work. • The provision and maintenance of a plant and systems of work that are safe and without risks to health. • Safety and absence of risks to health in connection with the handling, storage and transport of articles and substances. • The maintenance of a system for communicating safety policy to all employees for instructing and training and for the supervision of safe operations both on and off shore with special attention being paid to young employees, woman of child bearing age and students. • Encourage a good relationship with clients and contractors to ensure an efficient and effective approach to Health and Safety in all operations. This includes having checks in place to ensure that employees are given relevant HSE procedures from the client and to ensure we supply contractors with such information. This is applicable at any work site. • Establish and maintain a Health and Safety bulletin board in the office displaying all relevant Health and Safety information. • Ensuring that meetings are held at intervals to be decided to discuss and implement Health and Safety matters. • The maintenance of a system for reviewing and correcting procedures to ensure improved Health and Safety at the workplace. • It is a condition of employment, as well as statutory duty, for all employees (Managers, Supervisors and Operatives) to comply with the obligations laid upon them by the Factories Act 1961 and associated Regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. They are also required to co-operate fully with all measures introduced by Andrews Survey to prevent accidents and ensure a healthy and safe working environment. • All employees of the company have a duty to accept and practise this code and to willingly suggest and carry out improvements where necessary. |
