Renewable energy and wind-farm installation survey support is a recent addition to our expanding list of services.

Between July and December 2003, Andrews Survey provided survey support to Mayflower Energy during their installation of 30 offshore wind-turbines at North Hoyle, Wales. An RTK positioning solution was implemented to meet the required positioning tolerances. With telemetry installed, all vessels’ movements were displayed on each vessels’ navigation screens enabling good clear communication during operations.

Andrews Survey has recently been involved with wind-farm installation survey support for MPI onboard their flagship turbine installation vessel "MV Resolution". This has so far entailed work in the Kentish Flats during 2004 and the Barrow offshore wind-farm in 2005.

Andrews Survey also provided MPI with survey support during pile positioning and the laying and trenching of the export and infield cables.
