Since 2003 Andrews Survey has been involved in the Renewable Energy Sector providing support for companies such as Mayflower, MPI, Vestas and Marine Current Turbines. Projects have included wind farms at North Hoyle, Barrow Offshore and Kentish Flats as well as current turbine installation in Strangford Lough.
These offshore projects have involved various operations including precise pile and turbine installation using RTK positioning techniques, lay and trenching/ploughing support for installation of export and infield lines. LBL acoustic positioning techniques were used for the current turbine installation.
